Honoring the Sacred Rites of Passage throughout Motherhood
As Mothers, we experience countless initiations through the cycles of death and bebirth. Our Ancestors and the Ancients honored these Mother Rites through ceremony and ritual. Women were held in loving witness by their sisters, friends, and community as they passed through new thresholds. It’s time we remember and reclaim this ancient wisdom.
I have been holding ceremonial space for women since 2018 through Womb Awakening circles, bi-monthly Moon Circles within my community, and ceremonial mother’s rites. I’m excited to be making this work more available to the public this year.
Please see ceremonial offerings below. These can be set-up as private 1:1 sessions or group ceremonies to include your friends and family. 1:1 Ceremonies are held at my healing space. For group ceremonies, we can discuss venues and your individual needs. Each Ceremony is planned according to your desires. Please inquire for further information.
With love, Julia
Moon Return
Your first postpartum Bleed may arrive anytime in the first 2.5 years.
It is the body’s final release of your baby’s birth and the beginning of your REBIRTH.
For mothers whose babies arrived by c-section, their first bleed is an opportunity for their wombs to release the blood that wasn’t released during childbirth.
The first postpartum Bleed shares the same energies as Menarche.
Sexual and sensual energy channels come back online as your womb aligns with the Earth’s Shakti.
Through ceremony, we celebrate the completion of the birth process and the return of your CREATIVE LIFE Force Energy.
Closing of the Bones
A sacred healing ritual used all over the world throughout various lineages, to aid in the mother’s healing process with the purpose of closing cycles, sealing energetic fields, and returning all aspects of her spirit back into her body.
This deeply nourishing ceremony offers the mother an opportunity to process feelings, release emotions, and regain strength. It helps to bring closure to her birth story so she can confidently move into this next phase of Being.
Bone Closing ceremonies are most commonly done at the end of 40 days postpartum, but can be done at any point in life, with people who haven’t given birth but wish to close something else in their life. The hips are known to be the area of the body where unresolved emotions and trauma are held, this causes blockages of energy channels and closing the bones can help to release these emotions. This ritual can be especially powerful after traumatic or life changing experience such as marriage, divorce, separation, loss of job, moving homes, going into menopause, etc.
Placenta Ceremony
The placenta is the root of our origin, a miraculous organ that unites baby with mother. It is created at the moment of conception to sustain and protect your baby until she is born.
Your baby’s placenta is her energetic twin. They are genetically identical. Some traditions considered placentas to be angels.
Nowadays, mothers are remembering this sacred knowledge. There are several ways to honor the placenta. I chose to ingest my son’s placenta. For my daughter’s, I felt called to put hers to rest by buying it next to a fig tree in our backyard.
When we bury our child’s placenta,we merge them with the primal Earth Mother. As their blood merges with the Earth, they become unified with Gaia Sophia, the Mother of infinite wisdom. Ceremonies are held at your location of importance.
Breastfeeding Completion
Most mothers would agree that the breastfeeding journey is full of lessons and initiations. It often doesn’t go as we had imagined it would.
Our individual experiences are as varied and unique as the children we birthed.
When babies are weaned from the breast, the mother experiences a hormonal recalibration. Her heart energy realigns with her internal circuitry after an extended period of outpouring.
Whether you nursed your young for 2 weeks or 20 years, grief is almost always present.
Through this heart healing ceremony, you will be witnessed in your grief and in your glory. We honor your role as the Prime Nourisher.
Fortifying your heart circuitry, returning your breast energy to self, and celebrating the energetic heart cords that will forever connect you to your children.
